our History

racewalking Queensland (incorporated as Queensland Racewalking Club) was established in 1955 as a means of providing regular road walking competition for race walkers and to build  interest in the sport and has had member athletes compete with distinction at State, National and International level. The Club is proud to be one of only a few athletic clubs that run its own full season of competition and has for many years run State Championships on behalf of Queensland Athletics.

The Club has SIX Life Members:

John Bailey AM, Sid Bray, David Smith, Peter Bennett, Joyce Petfield, Noela McKinven  

These people have provided outstanding service to the club and the sport over the years from the inception of the club till the present day.

Affiliation

Racewalking Queensland (incorporated as Queensland Racewalking Club) is affiliated with Queensland Athletics and the Federation of Australian Racewalking Clubs.
